In only 8 days time, Somerset will welcome over 100,000 people to the biggest performing arts and greenfield music festival in the world – Glastonbury! And for the first time ever, I’ll be one of those crazy 100,000+ people swapping my double bed for a tent, bathroom for a porta-loo and dolly shoes for wellies!
However I will definitely not be leaving the house without some of my festival favourites! Fellow Barny Maddy will also be heading to Glastonbury this year, so we decided together that the following travel-sized essentials will be every girls best friend!
For under £20 – we’ve picked out:
- Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse wipes (20pk) to wipe away the day and night! These bio-degradable wipes melt away suncream, make-up, environmental pollutants and bacteria. When you add water to the soft wipe the formula turns into a milky emulsion to rinse all of this debris away. They’re even gentle enough for the most sensitive of eyes! Perfect for that third day in when everything’s feeling a little worse for wear!
- Dermalogica Multi-Active toner (50ml)– for instant freshness and rehydration of the skin. As we’ll be exposed to all of the elements this handy refreshing mist is packed full of goodness including lavender, mint and aloe to condition the skin.
- Finally Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream (10ml) with lethicin to moisturise and aloe complex to keep skin hydrated. This is my favourite Dermalogica moisturiser, so to have a mini-size version accompany me to Glastonbury allows me to remain confident that my skin won't suffer, especially if it’s sunny and water supplies are low!
Despite what some might think, I won’t be taking my usual make-up bag – instead I’ll be swapping my Mii Absolute Face Base foundation for a lighter Mii BB cream that I can apply with my fingers. Mii’s Radiantly Fair BB cream contains amino-rich soy extracts, SPF 45, built in primer, light diffusing particles to cover imperfections, while moisturising and nourishing for a gorgeous glow. I’ll also pack some mascara, a little cream blush and my trusty EOS lip balm too. I’m hoping for some sunshine, however my naturally pale skin means I am one of those typical Brits who burns and peels – so I’ll be applying SPF in the morning and carrying a mini tube around in my backpack too!
But at the end of the day who cares what we look like, after the first two days I’m thinking everyone’s going to look like they need a good night sleep and a shower anyway! It’s all about the music, arts, culture, food and having a good time! So if you’re going to Glastonbury this year check out their official packing list and have an awesome time, I know I will be!
Also if you’re going to any other festival this summer, remember you can pick up our festival favourites at The Barn anytime!
