IPL SKIN REJUVENATION

IPL uses pulses of light to treat different skin concerns. It can treat conditions such as open pores, thread veins, pigmentation and acne. It can also be used as an advanced facial treatment to help with ageing, tired skin, fine lines and course skin texture.

This is an advanced way of improving the look and feel of your skin. You will see results after one session, although we do recommend a course of sessions for skin rejuvenation.

For thread veins and pigmentation, results are assessed after each session. IPL skin rejuvenation is a growing trend and alternative to cosmetic procedures.

We offer a free consultation to assess your needs and answer any questions or concerns you may have. A patch test will be carried prior to treatment and all treatments are carried out by IPL practitioner Kelly Hooper.

SKIN REJUVENATION

Its extremely effective at removing pigmentation (sun/age spots) normally within a few sessions, any vascular lesions such as thread veins, campbell de morgan spots (look like red blisters), spider naevi (look like red vessels with little legs!) and rosacea respond very well to IPL treatment.

When having a full face skin Rejuvenation, our aim is to tackle all of these concerns so you are left with a clearer, more even tone of skin. After as course of sessions, this will also dramatically enhance your collagen and elastin production creating a firmer, brighter skin.

A course of IPL skin rejuvenation leaves you with long-lasting results. Think clearer firmer skin!

PIGMENTATION

IPL is fantastic for treating pigmentation. Lentigines also known as age/sun spots and ephelides also known as freckles respond very well to IPL. We cannot treat melasma (normally caused by pregnancy or hormones) Pigmentation normally occurs on face, neck, decollete and hands. Anything from 1-6 sessions are needed to dramatically reduce the pigmentation or remove it. Although we can never guarantee 100% removal.

Different types of pigmentation include all listed below and these can all be treated with our Lynton Laser IPL machine.

Freckles - Small, discrete pale brown pigmented specks typically seen on sun exposed skin. They are most common in fairer skins.

Lentigines (sun/age spots) - These are brown marks occurring as a results of UV damage, seen most commonly on the face and the back of the hands.

Seborrheic Keratoses - Wart-like brown marks on the outer layer of skin. There may be just one although often appear in clusters. They are usually mid to dark brown although can be light tan to black.

All these prices are per session. 1-6 sessions needed. Assessed after each treatment.

VASCULAR

Treating any vascular lesions proves very effective with IPL and often instantly noticeable. We can treat a number of different vascular conditions (listed below)

Telangiectasia (thread veins) - Are small dilated blood vessels. They are commonly seen on the face, especially around the cheeks and nose. These can be heredity, although they can also be related to such factors as skin ageing, sun damage & pregnancy. Thread veins respond very well to IPL and usually within a few sessions.

Rosacea - Is a common inflammatory condition of the skin, which often results in a red facial flush and accompanying thread veins. The cause of Rosacea is unknown, although several environmental factors are known to aggravate the condition, such as weather, spicy foods alcohol and caffeine. Responds well to IPL although cannot be cured. Maintenance treatments when needed will control the condition.

Spider Naevi - Has a central red papule with feeding capillary legs. They commonly occur on the face or on the backs of hands. These respond well to IPL.

Campbell de Morgan Spots - Also known as Cherry angiomas are small, red, raised spots (almost like a red blister). They appear out of no where and tend to increase in middle age. The cause is unknown but respond very well to IPL.
